What's included

What a paver cleaning job covers

  • Dirt, grime and algae washed off the paver surface
  • Weeds growing up through the joints removed
  • Joints re-sanded with polymeric sand once the patio is dry
  • Paver color restored, not just the surface rinsed
  • Landscaping around the patio protected the same way as every job

How it works

Two visits, not one

  1. 1

    Visit 1: wash

Pavers get washed, weeds pulled from the joints, and the surface rinsed clean.

  2. 2

    The patio dries

Polymeric sand needs a dry surface to bond correctly, so we don't re-sand a wet patio — this is why the job can't be done in one visit.

  3. 3

    Visit 2: re-sand

Once dry, the crew returns and re-sands the joints, restoring the color and locking the pavers back in place.

Pricing

How paver cleaning is priced

Every job gets priced on-site, not off a generic rate — joint depth, not square footage, drives the labor, so we look at the joints before we quote a price. Want the color to last? sealing after the clean locks in the fresh sand and color.

Every job has a $400 minimum.

FAQ

Paver cleaning questions

Why isn't this priced per square foot?

Joint depth varies from job to job and drives the actual labor — a patio with deep, washed-out joints takes far more re-sanding time than one with joints still mostly full, even at the same square footage. Square footage alone doesn't predict the work, so we quote by eye on-site instead of off a generic rate.

Can this be done same-day?

No. The patio has to dry completely after washing before we can re-sand the joints — polymeric sand needs a dry surface to set correctly. That's why paver cleaning is a two-visit job, not a same-day one.

Do you seal the pavers too?

Sealing is a separate step after cleaning — it locks in the fresh sand and color. See our paver sealing page for how that works and whether it makes sense for your patio.
